Glenfield Marlin Model 36

The noren 暖 帘

Our old small, but glorious izakaya has closed its doors forever.

To take the memory alive, I did give "Noren", the traditional tent located in front of the entrance to a Japanese restaurant that is open and to indicate which foods to offer.

The first time, to be ignorant, I wondered: why you put this sheet when the restaurant is open, since it obscures the entry and makes it more difficult, while the closure is removed? Should not the opposite?

But the last time put on and off had become my job. I was fond of us.

now in Italy, and so his destiny is to last a long time '.

It's a bit 'faded because it has seen so much sun, but it is in good condition. I washed to clean the dust and smog deposited in years of service.

Here is a picture while it was drying.

Now is ironed, folded and put things as sacred. But I do not know where to place it for now.

I'll put it to the front door of the house when they arrange a dinner with Japanese friends, to make them feel a bit 'more' at home. But I wonder what they will think

neighbors Italic ...

PS: if it were not for me, I would have taken in Italy to complete the izakaya. :-)
